Box Alarm East Ferry and McDougall Detroit Mi, 03/31/08
Just after 11:00 A.M. on March 31, Engine 23 and Ladder 10 were dispatched on a still alarm. To the area of McDougall and East Ferry to check for a reported smoke condition from a building in the area. Ladder 10 arrived at the scene first, Reporting a light smoke condition from the second floor of a 2.5 story home at the corner of McDougall & East Ferry. Ladder 10 requested the Box Alarm transmitted on the fire. Dispatching two extra Engines and a Squad. Ladder 10 stretched a booster line (Red Line)to the fire and knocked it down before the first due engine arrived. The fire was contained to a room on the second floor with no extention. The fire was quickly brought under control under 15 minutes.
