JANUARY 2,2009 LINE OF DUTY DEATH OF ELIZABETH,NJ FIREFIGHTER GARY STEPHENS WHILE OPERATING AT BOX 2215 LOCATED AT 335 MARSHALL STREET. HE PASSED AWAY DUE TO INJURIES SUSTAINED WHILE OPERATING AT THE FIRE .....It is with deepest regrets that we inform you of the line of duty death of FF Gary V. Stephens:

Fire Fighter Gary V. Stephens a 28 year veteran with the Elizabeth, New Jersey Fire Department was tragically killed on January 2, 2009 will operating at a fire on Marshall Street.

Gary was the Vice President of IAFF Local 777.

There will be a memorial service at St. John's Episcopalian Church on Broad Street in Elizabeth at 11 AM on Monday 1/5/09.
