March 5th, House fire in Landing section of Roxbury Twp. Guts a residential home on Atlas Road The Roxbury Fire Department was dispatch for a reported house fire around 1:55 a.m. at 512 Atlas Road in the Landing section of the Township, As Fire Department units were responding the 1st to arrive was a Police officer on patrol reporting fire visible in front half of residents he was met by the home owner who stated he was alerted by a smoke detector and was able to escape by crawling out a rear bedroom window . The home owner was injured in the blaze the Blaze was brought under control in about twenty minutes there were no other injuries at the scene the cause of the fire is under investigation All three of Roxbury fire Companies responded to the scene and well as an engine from Mt Arlington and the Netcong RIC team
